This narrative, expressed predominantly via dialogue, certainly makes me envious of both participants as they've found a wonderful way to bond as adult daughter and mother. In real life things rarely turn out this well, but in fantasy there can be the ideal situation in which Josie's openness and honesty is rewarded by her receiving exactly what she desires. This is an "Ask and You Shall Receive" morality play, kind of the opposite of a "Be Careful What You Wish For" story, and its message is quite worthwhile to consider.

Mum concealing the fact that she was sexually gratified by administering the spanking to her daughter, I can understand why she did so (to allow Josie to maintain the fantasy of being seriously maternally disciplined) but eventually she may be found out on that issue–however, by then it may not matter that much once the pattern of punitive play has been established.

This was very much a fun read overall, the dialogue (which constitutes about 90% of the story) especially was well done…

Neither mother nor daughter feel the least bit guilty about getting off on each other?  Okay, this is fantasy, so things that one would normally find disturbing are okay to indulge here.  Still, an author shouldn't be afraid to explore the motives of their subject, even when it's challenging.  In this case, the author allows the characters to laugh about and agree almost blithely to a potentially deep and difficult request.  Josie is 23.  Does she have no boyfriend/girlfriend who might help her?  Does she feel shame about her desire, so much so that when it comes to asking her sexual partners for such a favor, she becomes cripplingly shy?  If so, then what allows her to ask her mother for it? Is her heart beating so strongly in her throat that the request comes out tremmulous, almost too softly, so she has to repeat it?  Or perhaps she is bold in knowing what she wants and how she wants it, in which case, one has to wonder why, instead of requesting it in a healthy sexual relationship, she chooses the potentially incestuous feelings that will be aroused in the interaction with her mother?  Is it some childhood memory that she wishes to recreate and explore?

I have mixed feelings about this story.  It was a little unsettling because of the slightly incestuous elements of the mother and daughter getting off on the spanking experience.  Yet there was some believable aspects because I've often heard adults tell about their own fantasies of asking a parent to spank them.  Many of us still see our parents as the ultimate authority figure, and I can see how that setup might be appealing for some.  However, I think most folks wouldn't be turned on by such a spanking, instead it may fulfill another, more psychological, need.  Certainly if a family member's spanking made me cum, and the spanker didn't notice, I definitely wouldn't tell them!  And if I did, I doubt they'd react as calmly as did this mother.

Content aside, the writing of this piece was done very well.  I enjoyed the way the plot unfolded through the characters' dialogue.  I also thought the actual spanking itself was well described and had nice detail.

The author's almost exclusive use of dialogue helps create an immediacy to the scene he portrays and I could easily visualise this scene playing out in a spanko porn movie.

Not my kink, but I can certainly see how it would appeal to those whose kink it is.
